Thank you for being a part of Empyrean Arts! Please read through our studio policies and other important information below: Arrival: The Empyrean Arts main entrance is located on the right side of the 32 Banks Avenue building, located under a covered patio area that is shared with Catawba Brewing Company. Arrive to the studio 10 minutes before your scheduled class, providing enough time to park, get dressed and ready for class. Students arriving late to the studio will not be allowed to attend class and will not be refunded. We have a dressing room located within the studio. Bathrooms and water fountain are located in our building in the communal hallway that we share with our neighboring businesses. Parking: Empyrean Arts offers two different free parking lots for students and staff, one is a gravel lot located directly in front of Vortex Doughnuts, and the second is the large gravel lot directly behind Fifth Seasons (Fifth Seasons is located east of our building across from the Banks Avenue Bar). There is also free street parking on Banks Avenue and the surrounding streets. Drop in Students: We accept walk-in (drop in) students in the event that there is space available in class. We strongly encourage students to sign up through our online system ahead of time to ensure a spot in class. Cancellations: If within two hours of a scheduled class there are two students or less signed up, Empyrean Arts reserves the right to cancel the class. Students will not be charged for a class that they are signed up for if Empyrean should need to cancel due to low sign ups, instructor emergency, or inclement weather. If you should need to cancel a class or private lesson reservation, do so at least 12 hours before the scheduled appointment to avoid being charged. If you are unable to cancel before the 12 hours leading up to your reservation, you will lose that class credit and therefore will not be refunded. Classes: Empyrean classes are non-refundable and non-transferable, meaning they cannot be refunded or gifted to another student. To pay for a class for someone else, you may either purchase a gift certificate or purchase the class with your credit card under their account. Be mindful of expiration dates as they are not extendable. Expiration dates start when you make a purchase. Expiration dates for class packages and subscriptions can be found under the "Pricing" tab on our website. Private Lessons & Parties: Private lessons and parties must be paid for in full in advance to reserve studio and instructor time. Scheduled parties must be paid for before the 48 hour period leading up to the reservation. Contact us directly via email (info@EmpyreanArts.org) if you are having difficulty paying in advance. Empyrean Arts can schedule your private lesson or party for you via email, text, or phone. Private parties must give a cancellation notice of at least 48 hours for a full refund. Parties that cancel within 48 hours of their scheduled appointment will not receive a refund. Spectators: All students present in classes, private lessons, and private parties must complete registration and payment prior to the start of the scheduled appointment. Visitors are not permitted to watch classes, private lessons, or private parties. All attendees at studio classes are considered students/participants and will need to register and pay. Open Studio Sessions: No teaching and/or student to student skill sharing during open gym time. If you have a question/concern about a skill that you learned in class, feel free to ask the open studio host. Only trained staff members may rig or handle aerial equipment, ask for assistance from a staff member if you need equipment adjusted for you. Cameras, Videos, Notes, Etc: Written notes are encouraged as electronic devices are not permitted during group class time. Please respect others privacy in the studio. Pictures and/or videos are permitted during the following approved times: Private Lessons (per instructor approval), Group Parties, Open Studio, Private Studio Rental, and the 10 minutes directly following a Group Class (before the start of the next class). 18 and Under: Students under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parental guardian to sign a consent waiver upon their first studio visit or have their parental guardian complete a student account for them online through our website. All regular classes are for students ages 12 and up. On occasion, a teacher may make exceptions for particularly mature students. Attire: For all beginning level classes at Empyrean wearing capri length leggings and a t-shirt or tank top that does not have any metal parts like zippers or buttons on it are perfect attire for class. As students progress in pole classes, shorts are preferred for a better grip on the pole. Wear class appropriate attire in the studio, and be fully clothed when entering and exiting the studio grounds. Wearing undergarments only is not allowed during pole activities. Street shoes must be removed before entering the classroom. Pole heels and "dressing up" are always optional and welcome if desired. Behavior: In a space with shared equipment, it is important that all students practice good hygiene and maintain neutral body odor. Any persons under the influence of alcohol or drugs are not permitted in the studio. Disrespectful behavior is unacceptable at the studio. Empyrean firmly stands behind our mission of providing a safe and supportive environment for anyone wishing to visit the studio.
I have read and agreed to the studio policies written above.
